Wow, doesn't time fly. I am, however, told time only seems to go fast. The reality is that being older it takes us longer to complete tasks and therefore the days seem shorter. With my wife being 84 this year and me 80 maybe they have a point. My last published blog was in November 2021 which was followed by an unpublished draft which, after reading all this later, I am a bit reluctant to publish. It was about equality. It was/is based on the premise that we are not all equal, and that this is especially so in law.
My wife and I are living back in Napier now, after shifting from Masterton about 4 years ago. I am still her primary care-giver. It has been a tough time but we are now coming towards a more fulfilled time in our life journey. From being primarily bed-bound Yvonne has gone from a wheelchair to a walker to being able to mostly transition with a walking stick.
I have not attended church for a number of years now. Primarily this was due to the worry that Yvonne needed 24/7 care and that there was a major chance of a fall, or other medical problem happening if I was not present.
This blog is simply to refresh the site, and maybe I'll be able to provide myself with some points of view over the next few months etc.
